Celebrate National Volunteer Week 2021

The Value of One, The Power of Many

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2021 celebrates the selfless benevolence of individuals across the globe and emphasizes the undeniable benefits of people working together towards a common goal. Nominate your volunteers today!

With many organizations and programs operating according to COVID-19 restrictions, the Forum for Volunteer Administrators created a plan to safely celebrate the awe-inspiring acts of kindness and service while bringing everyone together in spirit until restrictions are lifted. Join us for a week-long, virtual appreciation event and help us recognize passionate volunteers who have made a positive impact on your organization.  We are asking volunteer administrators to nominate outstanding volunteer(s) and to share their stories of service.  We will spotlight an incredible individual on our website and social media outlets each day starting April 19.

FVA members are encouraged to nominate a volunteer and upload a high-resolution photo of the nominee.  We understand that there are countless volunteers who deserve time in the spotlight and that it’s difficult to pick just one - please limit your nominations for the spotlight to two volunteers per organization.

The FVA Communications Committee will select volunteers to spotlight from the nominations submitted.  The nominating volunteer administrator will be contacted if and when their nominee is selected.  All submissions are due no later than Friday, April 9, 2021.

The Forum for Volunteer Administrators (FVA) is dedicated to the continuous professional development and support of Volunteer Administrators throughout Northeast Ohio. Professional development opportunities in our line of work are hard to find. FVA works with our members and peers to keep building our collective knowledge. View our 2019 Annual Report.

The mission of the Forum for Volunteer Administrators (FVA) is to provide mutual support, continuing dialog and professional development opportunities for those involved in the leadership and management of volunteers.
